Service and inspection Yamaha Wave Raider 1100

Now this ski is 14 years old, hour meter show just 149hr.
This time this ski came to Doctor for 150hr medical checkup.
Engine room condition is very good , no rust ,no corrosion.
This ski didn't turn starter motor because starter solenoid terminal was broken.

Also battery lead was damaged too, this is another reason for  didn't start.

Cut outer tube and check lead core, it was corroded and color changed to black.

Replaced starter solenoid and battery lead, now starter is turn and engine start.
Report continue to tomorrow.

Ride a RICKTER

This customer swapped motor and pump from Superjet to RICKTER by him self.
So today`s job was carby tune of this RICKTER..








Looks very nice,
I want this !!!!






Engine is stock with Factory B pipe.

I like RICKTER`s ride feeling which very stable. Handling of this customer`s setting was good enough as easy to turn. I want ride on surf condition one day.

Won`t engine keep run of Kawasaki STX 12F, 3


Today here is another picture of this ski.
Fuel pump assy from fuel tank.

Fuel pump strainer sitting on bottom of fuel pump.

After dry of  strainer, very dirty.

After clean of strainer, much better now.

This is top view of fuel tank after drain all fuel but still black color water stain sitting on bottom of tank.

This water stain was cause of fuel pump strainer change to dirty. Suck all water stain and cleaned tank inside.After clean and put back together all parts, finally this ski engine start and keep run.

Won`t engine keep run of Kawasaki STX 12F, 2

All fuel drained from fuel tank.
After drained all fuel then filtered and found a lot of water. It was 700cc of water sitting on bottom of fuel tank!!!!!!
This is main cause of this ski's problem.

Won`t engine keep run of Kawasaki STX 12F

This ski had problem which won`t keep run. It was engine start but stop immediately at any time after strat.

Checked fuel pump performance.

Test results was satisfied.

But found a little water from above test.

I will check fuel tank and report tomorrow.

Found something inside of water box of GP1300R


I heard something noise from inside of  water box. It was more noise when shaking. I found something inside,,,,

It was broken pieces of catalytic converter. Must be this motor`s catalytic converter was broken before and then change to fit D-plate instead of  catalytic converter but didn`t check well left of broken pieces when replaced parts.

Water leak from water box of GP1300R

Water box sitting just under the battery box.

This is water box and bottom of barrel was damaged.

The barrel has 2 of deep line damage and big hole.

Why water box was damaged because protection rubber was missing on top of trim tab fitting insert nut bracket. In short water box sitting on top of bracket directly for a long time because damaged and got hole. Since this ski got hole of water box always water and exhaust gas leak from that hole, must be ski runs bad also lucky ski didn`t sink.
Another funny news of this ski I will report tomorrow.

Water temperature sensor problem of GP1300R

This ski came up warning sys on and now won`t start.

Ski checked by PC diagnoses and found problem. It was water temperature damaged. After replace sensor engine was start and not come up warning sys on  but I found another problem which water leak from rear of exhaust sys (under the battery box).
I will check that tomorrow.

Engine damaged Kawasaki STX1100

Customer said engine won`t turn.I thought impeller locked by cause of impeller housing becasue I disconnected jet pump unit but still engine won`t turn.

Next step, check spark plugs. #3 spark plug was very dry and gray color,in short this mean something happened #3 cylinder.

I found a few of  looks like roller bearing of small end or big end at front of  flywheel cover.

Picked up and checked, I was convinced these are part of roller bearing.

I found more damaged broken piece between crank case and engine bed. In short damaged piston or connecting rod smashed crank case.
So this ski decided to go wrecker with out dismantle motor because cost to much for rebuild motor.
This ski was 13yers old and had been used 258Hr.

Today we upload video which engine won`t start at 85hr also easy engine start and  much better feeling after service.

Won't keep idling and hard to start Yamaha VX110 Cruiser

This ski was sick too, almost same as FX-HO last week.
It was very rough idling speed and won't keep run.
However after service, this ski got better felling.
Spark plugs were build up carbon.

Also this ski changed oil and oil filter. So now got more energy!

Checked battery, few segment acid level was lower than line.
The battery added distilled water so now better.

Running problem of Yamaha FX-HO

Todays patient was Yamaha FX-HO. He was sick and didn`t work well. This ski when engine start motor got shaky
 and engine response was so bad.
Check by PC diagnosis but no record available.It was feel like spark problem so we tested by PC diag use active test mode then found #1and #3 did not spark when idling speed.
#1, #3 spark plugs been build up carbon, #4 was still sparked but been build up carbon too.
After replace spark plugs this ski got over sick and come back good respons.

Carby problem of Kawasaki STX1100

Customer bring in just Carby,
he said ski response is bad when open throttle as hesitate acceleration feeling.
Cause of problem was pressure leak from needle and seat.
Check top of needle, no problem
.Check next o-ring of valve seat,
o-ring been worn becasue leak pressure.
Replaced o-ring
