I hate carby service of XLT1200 and GP1200R because it takes too much time to remove and fit carbys.
It's too late to complaint to designer of Yamaha which this motor is bad design for carby service and settings
becasue carbys locate under the exhaust sys.
Let's have a look procedure of remove carby assy

It's takes about 1.5hr to remove carby assy, see above pic only left exhaust manifold around short block motor and takes about 2 or 2.5hr to all put back together. Inshort takes about 4hr to remove and refit carby assy, yes still need to another 3 to 4 hr for service carbys.
