I found water leak from water pipe which fitting to cylinder. It has crack because water leak and then I try to remove that pipe but won't come off from motor..... shit happen!
Finally I decide lift and motor out from hull.
Water leak from this water pipe.
It had corrosion inside of bolt hole and stuck because this water pipe won't come off.
I used gas torch and heat and heat then tapped pipe. I just repeat and repeat then pipe came off slowly.
After removed gasket I find cylinder side damaged by corrosion. Oh my god!!
This Kawasaki Ultra150 99model now 11years old. This ski came to Doctor for just fix engine won't rev up as engine feeling like a miss spark.
Problem was just spark plug so after replace spark plugs engine feeling back to normal. However after test ride I had notice water in engine room. I have to check where water leak from.
This ski's engine I felt unusually vibration when cranking engine. Usually like a this case damaged engine mount or impeller hit the housing but both condition were fine,,,,,,,
Removed coupling cover. Cover didn't fit proper before because couplings been damaged but this is not reason for vibration,,,,,,
Problem was rubber coupling. Left damaged ,Right new.
I went to NSW today. That state started Summer time from last month as 1hr advance than QLD time. So Gold Coast is locate border of state because I left my work shop at 8am and arrived 9am as shown my watch but on-the-spot time shown me at 10am so feel like I lost 1hr !!! also funny I left almost 2pm at NSW and back to shop after 1hr drive but still time is 2pm,,,,,, It's funny isn't it?
so now when I talk to customer who live in NSW I have to care to apoint time for avoid miss understand time each other.
I also always thinking about who live pretty close to state border and if work place is over the border,,,,,,, how they control the time?very much confuse becasue they have two time them life.
This ski didn't water come out from side of water outlet when flushing at the jetty.
Problem was this flushing hose.
Flushing hose was kinked and choke water flow from tap water.
Worst case this may cause over heat problem when flushing (normally over heat warning start) however if ski on a water doesn't over heat this case because cooling water pick up from jet pump unit and through X-pipe (see above pic) then go to motor.
X-pipe has 4 of connection, 1 from Jet pump pick up cooling water as IN (OUT when flushing ), 1 for motor as OUT, 1 for Inter cooler as OUT and 1 for flushing as Stop (IN when flushing) In short when ski run on a water cooling water doesn't go to flushing side because if hose kinked doesn't matter but when flushing if this hose kinked water doesn't go to engine and get over heat.
