Worst case this may cause over heat problem when flushing (normally over heat warning start) however if ski on a water doesn't over heat this case because cooling water pick up from jet pump unit and through X-pipe (see above pic) then go to motor.
X-pipe has 4 of connection, 1 from Jet pump pick up cooling water as IN (OUT when flushing ), 1 for motor as OUT, 1 for Inter cooler as OUT and 1 for flushing as Stop (IN when flushing) In short when ski run on a water cooling water doesn't go to flushing side because if hose kinked doesn't matter but when flushing if this hose kinked water doesn't go to engine and get over heat.
