Carby service

I just finished work,,,,almost 10pm, Im very starving mate!
 One more day before Easter.
Today's one of job was GP1200R's carby service.
Look some pic of out side carby's condition!
All three carby been damaged by corrosion.
Job continue to tomorrow.

Electoric Box

This is Kawasaki STX electric box.
All Kawasaki electric box use plastic through tube for leads.
After some years past this plastic became to easy to broken.
If this happend must need replace that ASAP becasue may occur to water get into electric box
and get corrde and damage electric parts, also may have a chance to won`t spark etc,,,,
  If use silicon and any kind of stuff  for repair doesn't get sticky well, so must need replace.

Stuck stone

At first thanks many phone call today, it was so much busy day today. I could not do much mechanical work this morning because phone ringing, ringing,ringing,,,,,,so another 3days before Easter.
We will do best all customer's ski ready for Easter.
By the way how is weather for Easter? I hope all days good for jet ski ride.

Never stop jet pump problem, this customer said engine stopped and won't start (turn engine) after motor stop at the boat ramp. Yes,this customer started engine with shallow water level becasue suck stone from
intake.  Still some customer has wrong recognized of operate jet skis. Jet ski do not start at shallow water under 60cm high. Also if you stuck shallow water or sand bank when you ride, please stop engine immediately and  get off the ski then  please try to get out of  there by manhandle.  
This is for avoid damage impeller and damage bearings.

Service jet pump unit

This is optional service of jet pump unit.
Check impeller condition and gap between housing, this is very important things of jet ski's performance. Poor condition of jet pump unit doesn't get good run. If impeller and housing been damaged, in many cases these can be repair. Also we dismantle and check bearings and seals condition too.
Usually bearings and seals replace at that point.

We recommend this service every 100hr for avoid broken jet pump unit cause by water get into bearing. or fatigue failure of bearing .Also this avoid to big damage of motor.
I will explain soon about that big damage of motor cause from pump damage

Service ULTRA-LX

100HR service,.
This ski oil filter been rust, worst case get a hole and occur to leak oil. Please change oil and oil filter each 25hr or if not reach 25hr we recommend for a minimum once a year.
Service is not just change oil ,oil filter and Spark plugs,
We check battery, dismantle, check and clean Air  filter box, Grease up and lubrication of cables,
PC diagnosis and Flushing test run.
This is basic service menu and we have more add inspection menu for safety ride.

Cause of problem

GP1300R happend slow down speed and vibration problem when water test about 15min past.
Ski was runs fine nothing happend first so I almost gave up to make sure but it was lucky to happend problem finally.  Problem maker was silicon bit that peel of from sealing around pump duct. Also this problem involved inpeller gap as well. This ski's impeller gap is just over 0.6mm, STD is 0.3mm.
In short if this gap was 0.3mm this silicon bit didn`t stick, should cut 2 piece like a cut by knife and didn't happen this problem.

Water test GP1300R to make sure problem of slow down speed and vibration. 
Then I met captain dog.. She loves cruise on canal, said dogs owner.

PC diagnostic

Now PC diagnostic sys is necessary for mechanic to service and repair jet skis.
However this sys is only able to use Fuel injection model as computer management motor.
In other words with out this sys we can't check motor's condition and sensor's condition proper.  Also this sys keep record when sensor pick up problem of motor. Then tell us when, which sensor  pick up problem ,throttle position, RPM and more information for help to repair.
We have this sys for Yamaha and Kawasaki.
Our service program inc check this sys.

Stuck rags

This ski owner had trouble on a way back to boat ramp. Customer said, The ski won't go forward suddenly and felt vibration from ski.

If any rubbish, rope, rags and seaweed stuck or twist around of drive unit, this may cause of cavitation problem and worst case impeller won't kick water by bubble. In short lose thrust force from jet pump unit also ski have a chance to get over heat because engine cooling sys water pick up from jet pump unit.

Replaced trim cables

Yamaha's jet pump nozzle trim sys is controlled by cables from left hand grip of handle bar. However if  cables get rust this sys getting feel moving stiff or in a worst-case won't move this sys.

Service and inspection of Yamaha FX

Today's job was on site at customer's home




                                                                                                                                                                            

This thermostat been corrode and damaged.

This may cause of over heat problem of motor.
Better to check if your ski never check after
 50hrs used or 2years past.

Today's job

This Super jet had over heat problem of Factory B pipe exhaust sys. It was cause by wrong setting of water injection.  This ski also checked Carby's setting is right. It will take to water test tomorrow for check and tune carby.
