Initial failure of trim cable from FX-HO 2010model

This ski came to shop for 1st service as 11hr. I found trim sys had too much free play.

See this video as how much this trim has free play.

I found cable came off from linkage.

Removed linkage assy. Yellow line is correct but cable was looks like came off from linkage.

Cable didn't through to cable guid.

Cable won't come off without pull out guid. In short this is initial failure from factory.

Correct fitting of cables. So now trim sys working well.

Ski rope stuck to drive shaft !

This cusutomer sucked ski rope when he ride.
He tried to remove rope at the beach but he couldn't remove completely.
This case rope get into a tube of jet pump duct which point of drive shaft through to inside of engine room.
It was so hard to pull off that melted rope from tube.

I started new business which PC Doctor,,,,,?
No, just joke mate.
I bought PC parts and just started to make a new desk top machine with Windows7.
It' s another good fun to make a PC. I love make it something since I was kids, such as plastic model, RC car.
However I do not well to oprate PC. (shame,,,)

HDD and SSD

SSD is new-generation storage memory on behalf of HDD. SSD

is mach more firster than HDD and no mechanical move as like a big memory stick but only problem is very expensive.

.

SSD is also small and thin.

I'm looking forward to see how first this SSD.

Broken throttle cable Yamaha XL700

This ski came to shop for service. I found damaged throttle cable when grease up to cable. Throttle moving was not too bad. However this may cause stick a cable and won't close throttle. Better to replace before accident happen.

Cable was broken locate just under the carby intake tube bacause easy to overlook of problem.

Outer tube of cable was broken.

Rainy day again!

It's 10/10/10 looking good of date today,

However,another rainy day here is Gold Coast.
This is worst weather of Sep and Oct since I came to Australia from 1997.
I miss sunny day,,,,

Service and inspection of Yamaha FX-140, 2

This is show coupler from Camshaft position sensor to connect main wire harness. This camshaft p sensor send signal to ECU(main computer) for positioning of camshaft but this sensor also radiate noise and that may cause to ECU pick up this noise as engine running problem.

This is filter for stop noise from camposition sensor, from year 2003 model this parts fitted from factory but only 2002model need to buy and fit to between sensor to main harness. So this ski was not fit yet because fitted on this job.

If your ski is yaer 2002model must need check this.

This is exhaust joint rubber hose between end of exhaust to water box.

This rubber need to replace when rubber damaged. This may cause to leak exhaust gas and loose power.

Also we check more with full inspection show below.

Throttle bodys work and conditions check and lub

Lead coupler conditions check and lub all coupler.

Drive coupling and damper conditions check

Bilge strainer conditions check and clean.

EL builge conditions check and clean

 Impeller and jet pump conditions check.

If your ski getting old or every 50hrs use we recommend inspection for avoid big damage and safe drive.

Service and inspection of Yamaha FX-140

FX-140 2002 model

This ski been used just 110hr but 8 years old. This time Doctor recommend to customer to service and inspection because can`t check problem only service. Ski had some problem, let have a look.

Oil level was too high. Check after engine keep  run 5min idling.

Thermostat was damaged by corrosion.

This is one of important inspection.

Thermostat was not work well.This may cause over heat of head cylinder.

Air filter was dirty.

Throttle cable never put grease last 8 years

Steering cable never put grease too

Reverse cable never put grease too.

This ski had service at other shop last 8 years but never lub to cables, Unbelievable!
