Engine oil was too much of Yamaha FX-140

This ski came to shop for 50hr service. Engine was very hard to start and idle speed was very rough.

Much oil was sitting bottom of air box

Oil level was too much as white line. Top level is yellow line. Amazing! 6L of oil was in motor, STD is 4.3L. Asked customer which he filled up oil him self but he said since last service at other shop he didn't fill any oil. So must be over filled by other shop. This is cause of blew oil to air box from blow-by hose and that was involved air filter damaged by oil, spark plugs made a dirty and hard to start and rough idling.

Spark plugs were oily and drity.
This Yamaha FX 140, HO(160)and VX series motor is hard to check oil level as show different level depend on skis angle and when engine stopped  because this motor is dry sump lubrication system.  Some shop doesn't know about this things and over fill oil. Also this motor is hard to drain all oil as just suck oil from oil tank about 2L of 4.3L, in short  just change oil less than half because oil is still black after change oil. However Jet Ski Doctor we know how to drain more oil as almost drain 4L of oil so after change oil color is clear.
If your motor oil color is black after service no reason to come back to that shop. Please try our best service next.

Oil seals fitted wrong side face to jet pump unit of STX 12F (continue of yesterday)

I found oil seals face fitted  up side down. I asked customer and  he said this jet pump unit just been serviced by other shop couple month ago as they replaced oil seals and bearing. So they fitted oil seals wrong side,,,,,,,, nice job, isn' it?

This face of oil seal was out side. All 3 of seals fitted wrong side,,,,

This face should be out side.

Water got into inside of bearing room because oil seals were fttting wrong side. Front bearing damaged already by rust.

New parts all Kawasaki Genuine. Was after market parts.

This is correct way to fit oil seals.

Noise from jet pump Kawasaki STX 12F

This ski came to shop for noise from jet pump unit.

Disconnect Jet pump unit.

Impeller housing has been swelled by corrosion and hit impeller. This is cause of noise from jet pump.

Scratch mark of impeller housing after disconnect impeller. Now this ski need to replace impeller housing.

Water in fuel tank Kawasaki U-260

This ski was sick for long time as runs bad. Owner took to other shop twice but still ski was running not good. So owner was not happy to just pay money without fix ski.

Unbelievable, I found over 1L of water from fuel tank. Of course with this condition ski does't run well. This water must be sitting bottom of tank so long time because color change to brown.  Now ski runs back to normal as owner is very happy.

Damaged motor Kawasaki U-150

This U-150 customer had rebuild motor by himself but after engine run motor broken straight away. Let's have a look what happend.

#3 cylinder spark plug color show damaged piston.
Customer serviced carby but variable venturi diaphragm didn't fit proper because diaphragm didn't move as make lean fuel condition. 

Also customer forgot to fit valve and seat fix screw  because V/S moved to up side as arm lifting stroke make too short. This is another reason for lean fuel.

#3 Piston top was damaged as melted.

Another surprise, when customer put back carby assy he tucked oil hose between carby and manifold.

Lucky this #1 cylinder didn't damage because engine stop straight away.

Good fun for rebuild motor and carbys by self but if you make a mistake will have a chance to more damaged and more cost to fix.

TPS problem of Kawasaki U-250

TPS (Throttle position sensor) send electrical signal to ECU as how much open throttle but if this sensor is broken may cause to engine doesn't run well or won't start engine.

Broken TPS is 614 ohms as out of STD

New TPS is 4.6 K ohms as within STD

After replaced TPS this engine condition back to normal.

Note; This TPS setting is needs special skill, better to do not touch yourself.

Hi every one how are you?
I was little sick last week so wasn't too good my health but getting better now.

By the way Easter holiday will come soon, if you think about to use your Jet Ski on that holiday better to check now.
Many people check ski just befor a holiday and panic if ski won't start or flat battery etc,,,,,,
At this stage still have a time to fix, once again I say better to check your ski now.
